We had an awesome time this year at Summer Camp.  A lot of the boys in our troop earned merit badges within the week that most scouts usually don't earn at summer camp. Shands definitely has an amazing merit badge program.   We also had a lot of newer boys in the troop earn requirements for Tenderfoot on up.  The staff at Camp Shands was amazing.  They did their job with smile, while living and showing the scout Oath and Law at camp.  Our whole troop had fun, and we all look forward to going back to Camp Shands in the future!

Our first campout of the year was a successful one. We knocked out a lot of requirements for the newer scouters and as well, gave our youth leadership a great chance to show off their leaderships skills.

We had a lot of fun, great food, and a really great time! We hope to go back there to camp again soon!

Jacob’s Eagle Project at the VFW has been completed. It turned out really great and we are all proud of our troop’s, and his, accomplishments. Congratulations!!

This year we were proud to be honored with great awards. Brad DeLoatche won the Scoutmaster of the Year award and Mike Tilley won the Cubmaster of the Year award for Marion District.

Canned meats and vegetables, cranberry sauce, boxed instant potatoes and stuffing, peanut butter, tuna, spaghetti, and canned spaghetti sauce donations are appreciated.

All food must be in by Saturday, November 3rd at 5:00 pm.

Our Troop will present the food to the OLS parish at the 11 am Mass on November 4th.
